THERAPY AND HOW I CAN HELP

If you've found your way here, you're likely tired of the patterns that keep you stuck—the anxiety, the distance, the constant worry about relationships. You may have an intellectual understanding of your struggles, but emotionally, you're still reacting like the younger self who was wounded. You feel the deep imprint of relational pain, and it’s stopping you from fully stepping into your life.
This isn't just "talk therapy." This is a place where the focus in healing the fundamental relationship you have with yourself and others. We focus on getting to the root of your attachment style—whether you identify as anxious, avoidant, or disorganized—to help you stop reacting from old hurts and start living from a place of genuine presence and peace.
I bring attunement, respect and humility in my engagement with clients; understanding the complexity and intersection between mental health, relationships and trauma. I am a qualified and experienced mental health therapist offering a personalised approach in my work; appreciating each person is unique and do not fit into any 'neat' diagnosed criteria.
I am passionate about helping you reconnect back to your innate worth and develop internal and external resources to overcome barriers to be able to live a life that you get to define is most important to you.
I tailor my modalities according to the needs of each client. I am also a trained trauma-informed, EMDR and person-centred process oriented therapist. I believe what makes therapy most effective and helpful is the person of the therapist and the ability to provide a safe therapeutic relationship. I am also committed and engage in ongoing professional supervision and training to ensure I maintain and provide ethical, and current clinical knowledge and practice.
I draw primarily on my knowledge, training and skills from the following modalities:
- Neurobiology of attachment, safety and resilience
- Person-centred process oriented approach
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Trauma informed therapy including Somatic approach
- Mindfulness and Recovery Oriented Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
- Systems and strengths based
I have worked in a variety of practice settings including:
- private practice working with adults and older adolescents, young adults
- workplace counsellor (Employee Assistance Program)
- school counsellor working with children and adolescents and offering professional mental health development education to school staff and leadership.
- several community organisations working with vulnerable families and children, domestic violence, and offering group parenting training and workshops,
- a brain injury unit in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation hospital and
- in a government child protection agency including court work.
Prior to re-training as a therapist I had worked over 10 years as a Public Relations/Communications consultant in various workplace settings including consultancy, local government, non government and education.
I currently practice in my rooms in Sydney CBD and offer limited online/telehealth sessions.
The Human Stuff...
When not working you will likely find me in some dance class! I have even taken the brave leap (excuse the pun) and appeared in a number of dance showcases and dance video projects too. Some would call my love of dance a mild obsession and possibly an addiction, I would refer to it as a serious hobby to keep me sane!
I grew up in Sydney and like many Sydneysiders am a proud coffee snob and foodie. When not having a boogie or dancing, you will find me absorbed in an inspirational or psychological kindle book or catching up with close friends and family eating something delicious!
About me and my therapy approach
Healing isn't just about reducing pain; it's about radically increasing your capacity for vitality. Vitality is more than feeling 'fine'—it's that feeling of being fully alive, connected, and authentically yourself.
In our work together, we will:
-
Regulate your Nervous System: Gently process the stored stress and trauma in your body so you can feel safe and centered, not constantly on edge.
-
Rewrite your Relational Blueprint: Understand the core wounds that shape your relationships, and practice building secure attachment both internally and externally.
-
Cultivate Emotional Freedom: Move beyond people-pleasing, fear of abandonment, and self-doubt to embrace your authentic voice and boundaries.
You don't have to stay stuck in old loops. It’s possible to transform deep-seated pain into a greater capacity for connection, joy, and vibrant living.
My Approach: From Relational Wounds to Inner Freedom and Vitality
I believe that every struggle in the present is connected to a strategy for survival learned in the past. If you find yourself repeatedly drawn into the same exhausting relationship dynamics, battling constant anxiety, or feeling detached and alone even when surrounded by people, we need to look deeper at your attachment blueprint.
As an attachment trained specialist, I focus on helping you understand, heal, and transform the core wounds that were created when early needs for safety and connection weren't consistently met. This isn't just about coping; it's about fundamentally changing how your nervous system responds to stress, intimacy, and conflict.
My clinical work is grounded in EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Somatic Experiencing (SE)] which allows us to address the intellectual, emotional, and bodily imprints of relational trauma. We work together to:
-
Integrate past pain without re-traumatizing.
-
Cultivate a secure inner-base so you can trust yourself.
-
Build capacity for genuine intimacy and strong, healthy boundaries.
The result of this work is more than symptom relief. It is a profound shift into a life of vitality—a feeling of being grounded, confident, and authentic. My passion is guiding you out of survival mode and into the joyful, deeply connected life you were meant to live.
